History
The Pavillon dauphine was built in 1913 on the site of the Pavillon Chinois the bottom of Avenue de l'Impératrice, now called Avenue Foch. It was designed to replace this old building to better advantage. The former pavilion had already been used as a restaurant, but its size and standard of comfort no longer met the demands of a growing number of clients who at that time frequented this park surrounded by railings, which has now become the Bois de Boulogne.
